A quote ingrained in my psyche, an inspiration to remain a productive citizen and continue to help improve communities for a better tomorrow. I am an avid volunteer, mainly in the public school sector and local political arena. My skill sets are in the area of Communications, Strategy, Advocacy, Conflict Identification and Resolution, Formal and Informal Writing, Social Networking, Confidence-Building, navigating within Culturally and Economically Diverse Communities, and Bilinguality. Outside public service, I enjoy time outdoors and popcorn filled movie nights with my family.

Karen's daughter is new to Emerald Heights this year and is in 2nd grade.   Karen and her husband have lived in Silverdale for 10 years and also have a 15 year old son who attends CKHS.   Their family enjoys kayaking, hiking, gardening, playing cards and exploring the peninsula with their Australian Shepherd puppy Dosi-do.   Karen is a resource room teacher at Esquire Hills in the CK District.
